Website Design Project: Eleventh House Publishing

Project Overview

Eleventh House Publishing is a distinctive publishing house dedicated to showcasing writers with exceptional talent, unique voices, and a desire to challenge the status quo. Our task was to create a minimalistic, modern, and responsive e-commerce website that highlights Eleventh House Publishing and its authors while inviting readers to purchase books directly from the site.

Problem

Eleventh House Publishing needed a website that showed its unique authors and provides a seamless purchasing experience for readers. The challenge was to design a platform that was both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional, connecting readers to various platforms where the books are available, including Amazon Books and Selar.

Child’s Solution

We approached the project by designing a website that balanced minimalism with modernity. Our goal was to create a visually appealing platform that emphasized the unique qualities of Eleventh House Publishing and made it easy for readers to discover and purchase books. The design needed to be intuitive and engaging, encouraging users to explore and connect with the authors and their works.

Design Language

The design language focused on minimalism and sophistication. Clean lines, ample white space, and a neutral colour palette blended with Eleventh House’s bold yellow were used to create a modern, uncluttered look. High-quality images of book covers added visual interest, while elegant typography ensured readability and a polished appearance.

Website Creation

The new website was developed to be fully responsive, ensuring a seamless experience on all devices. Key features included an e-commerce platform for purchasing books and integration with external platforms like Amazon Books and Selar. The layout was designed to be intuitive, making it easy for users to navigate through different sections and find the information they needed.
